Police make quick arrest after south Wichita bar is robbed
A 41-year-old man decided he would rob a south Wichita bar at closing time early Monday, but other bar customers were able to tell officers where they could find the man. He was quickly taken into custody.
Wichita Police Lt. Doug Nolte said the man forced his way behind the bar at Judy's Club at 1300 South Seneca around 2 a.m. The man shoved an employee out of the way and grabbed several hundred dollars from a cash register, then he fought with several other customers on the way out of the bar.
Customers told police the man could probably be found in the 1200 block of South Elizabeth. Police arrested him and recovered the cash that was stolen.
