Attorneys for a man accused of helping his girlfriend murder his grandmother in Augusta wants to keep potentially key evidence out of court.

The first degree murder trial of Jacob Hoyt is scheduled to begin next Monday in Butler County District Court. A decision on a motion to suppress evidence is expected on Friday.

Hoyt's girlfriend pleaded guilty for her role in the death of Loyce Cody of Augusta. Lindsey Giovinazzo, 20, was sentenced to 25 years to life last year.
