Man found in strangers' home in Wichita drug bust
A man tried to run, and even hide in a strangers' home, but Wichita Police have him in custody on suspicion of a drug deal.
The man sparked a car chase when he tried to drive away from officers at Bluffview and Wilma around 3:35 a.m. Tuesday. He ran out of his car a couple miles to the northwest.
"There was a 25-year-old male, that when he took off, he ran into a residence in the 600 block of South Spruce," said Lt. Doug Nolte. "This residence was not a home that he was connected with."
Officers found the man hiding in the house.
"When he was arrested, he had several grams of meth on him, a scale, as well as some cash," Nolte said.
Nolte said the man went through an unlocked door of a 22-year-old man and 51-year-old woman's home.
A 17-year-old girl was with the man when the car chase started. Police do not know if she was connected to the drug deal.
