Two men left with nothing after trying to rob a worker at the KU School of Medicine - Wichita on Monday night.

The suspects approached the woman as she walked to her car in the 1000 block of N. Kansas around 6:50 p.m.

"One of them had a dark-colored sweatshirt, and he had a shotgun with him," said Wichita Police Lt. Doug Nolte.

The man pointed the shotgun at the woman and demanded her purse. She refused, and the men later ran off.

The suspects were described as 16-year-olds.
