Hutchinson police involved in standoff
Police in Hutchinson were involved in a standoff with an armed man Wednesday afternoon.
According to our news partners at KWCH Channel 12, an officer saw a car that was reported stolen in Wichita and tried to pull it over, but the car sped away. The driver jumped out and ran into a home in the 800 block of North Monroe. Police surrounded the house and it was believed the man was armed.
Streets have been blocked off in the area as police try to talk the man into giving himself up.
