Motel resident arrested for striking employee with cane
Police arrested a 37-year-old resident of the Paradise Inn at 2020 South Broadway for striking a motel employee on the head with a wooden cane.
"The suspect said he justified the attack by saying the victim had called him a bad name," said Wichita Police Sgt. Bruce Watts.
The incident was reported around 5 p.m. Friday. The 59-year-old injured man was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition. He had a large cut on his forehead.
