K-State defensive line coach leaves for OK State
STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) Joe Bob Clements has been hired as the defensive line coach at Oklahoma State, leaving Kansas State to join a Big 12 rival.
Coach Mike Gundy announced Sunday that Clements would join the Cowboys staff, filling an opening created when defensive coordinator Bill Young was fired this week. Young's responsibilities also included coaching the defensive line.
Clements has spent the past four seasons as Kansas State's defensive ends coach. It was his second stint on Bill Snyder's staff with the Wildcats, totaling 11 years at his alma mater. The former K-State defensive end has been a run game coordinator, recruiting coordinator and secondary coach.
His career has also included stops at Kansas and San Diego State.
