An extensive, six-month investigation of drug sales in a house is over in Arkansas City.

The Cowley County Drug Task Force, along with the assistance of the Arkansas City Police Department, Cowley County Sheriff's Department, KBI and Southern Kansas Swat Team arrested four people in the drug bust Saturday in Arkansas City.

Police said drug sales were suspected in a house at 1108 North A Street. A search warrant led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the home. Police said 42-year-old Bennett Cable, 27-year-old Georgia Pitts and 46-year-old Dee Ann Thompson were arrested.

Information from the warrant led officers to another residence in the 1400 block of south 4th Street in Arkansas City, where more drugs and weapons were found. Police arrested 64-year-old James Shannon.

All four suspects await various drug and weapons charges in the Cowley County Jail.
