Goddard police seize marijuana from stolen vehicle
Police in Goddard found a large amount of marijuana in a stolen vehicle after a traffic stop late Sunday night.
Police chief Sam Houston said a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe was stopped for traffic violations in the 18,000 block of West Kellogg. Officers found four bricks of marijuana in a duffel bag in the back seat.
Houston said a search warrant was obtained, and 78 more bricks were found stashed in different areas of the vehicle. He said the Tahoe had been stolen earlier in the day from Albuquerque, N.M.
A 30-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man were arrested, and the investigation is continuing. The marijuana weighed over 118 pounds and it had a street value of about $115,000.
