Cause of house fire near Augusta is not known
A husband and wife escaped their burning home Wednesday night east of Augusta.
Video by a neighbor showed flames billowing from the two-story home in the 4600 block of SW 98th Terrace.
Major Ray Marbut of the Augusta Public Safety Department said firefighters from Leon were called to assist Augusta firefighters.
"The fire started in a ground floor utility room," said Marbut.
A fire investigator arrived at the scene this morning. The fire started just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
"Fire damage to the house was confined to the east side," said Marbut.
