Wichita organizations need your input on social and health needs
Via Christi Health, the Sedgwick County Health Department and the United Way are asking for help to learn about critical social and health needs in the community.
The Community Needs Assessment survey goes out Friday. All three organizations are interested in community participation and, by joining forces, they can maximize effort, reduce costs and coordinate research findings into one single document for better use by others.
The United Way, with financial assistance from Via Christi, will mail more than 7,000 surveys to randomly selected households in Butler, Reno, Sedgwick and Sumner counties. A different survey will be sent to area business, government and nonprofit leaders.
The deadline for returning the completed survey is Feb. 6. United Way of the Plains President Pat Hanrahan spoke with KFDI's John Wright about the survey. Click on audio player to hear it.
