Wichita services to close for MLK Jr. holiday

Wichita city halls, public libraries and park and recreation centers will be closed Jan. 21 to recognize the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. 

Transit bus services and administration offices will also be closed. 

Other facilities that will not open Monday are: Watson Park, Great Plains Nature Center, CityArts, Old Cowtown Museum, Mid-America All-Indian Center, Century II administrative offices, the Wichita Art Museum and Botanica. 

Wichita golf courses will be open for business. The Riverside Tennis Center will run from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The Animal Shelter will run holiday hours, open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
