Man seriously injured in shooting
A man was taken to the hospital in serious condition after being shot in the left buttock Sunday.
The shooting happened around 3:15 p.m. in the 800 block of south Pershing.
Wichita Police Lt. Sam Hanley said a 21-year-old man told his wife he was going to retrieve some property. Ten minutes later, the man's wife called police, saying her husband had been shot.
"We have contacted several people that heard what they believe to be one single gunshot," Hanley said.
Police are still looking for up to four people who may have been involved in the shooting.
