Teenager shot near 13th and Hillside
A teenager was shot in North Wichita late Sunday night.
Wichita Police said the 14-year-old was walking with a friend near 13th and Hillside. The teenager said an unknown man approached them around 11:30 p.m. and shot him in the shoulder.
The teenagers went to a home in the 1500 block of North Vassar for help from family. The teenager was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but he is expected to be OK. The second teenager was not hurt.
It's not clear what led up to the shooting.
