DUI saturation patrol results in 11 arrests
Sedgwick County Sheriff's deputies arrested five people for drunk driving during a DUI saturation patrol last weekend.
Five more people were picked up for driving on suspended licenses and one person was arrested on a drug charge. They wrote 45 tickets for a variety of traffic offenses.
The operation was funded by a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation. Extra deputies patrolled the roads from 11 p.m. last Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday.
