A wheelchair bound woman called in Garden Plain house fire
Sedgwick County firefighters spotted heavy smoke coming from a house in the 1200 block of North Main in Garden Plain.
It happened about 8:23 this morning and believed someone was trapped inside the home. An emergency dispatcher told KFDI News the woman couldn't get off the back deck and called 9-1-1.
Emergency traffic indicated the source of the smoke was a cooking fire. The woman was checked out for a minor injury. The official cause is not known. Cheney Fire Department also responded to the fire.
