Mice chew into marijuana packages at Wichita police evidence building
Some evidence was tampered with at a Wichita Police Department property and evidence building on Wednesday, but the culprits weren't human. Lieutenant Doug Nolte said mice apparently chewed into at least 3 packages of marijuana while looking for food.
Nolte said the marijuana has a strong odor that will attract animals. He said evidence clerks took photographs and repaired the packages, and they made sure it was documented, because the pot is evidence in a criminal case.
