Federal charge filed against suspect in McDonalds shooting incident
Federal prosecutors have filed a charge against the suspect in a shooting incident at a west Wichita McDonalds restaurant earlier this month. Our news partners at KWCH, Channel 12, are reporting that 24-year-old Sean Costs is charged in federal court with unlawful possession of a firearm. The charge was filed because of a prior conviction for aggravated assault in 2011.
Costa is facing charges in Sedgwick County for firing a shot at a car during a January 9th disturbance in the drive-through lane of a McDonalds at 6350 West Kellogg. No one was hurt, and police traced Costa to a west side home where he and Melissa Palacios were arrested after a 4-hour standoff.
