Alleged copper thief caught in burned building
Wichita police arrested a 39-year-old man for allegedly trying to steal copper pipes from an apartment building.
Two maintenance workers reported some suspicious activity Wednesday afternoon at a four-plex building in the 300 block of South Hydraulic.
Police say the man may have entered through a basement of a building that had been involved in a fire. The man was booked into jail on suspicion of burglary.
