Teenage boy killed in Derby crash
A large SUV rolled on a dirt road in Derby, injuring three people and killing a teenage boy. The crash happened on a dirt road near 87th Street South and Webb Road.
The teenager was not wearing a seat belt, and was thrown from the car as it rolled several times. The area was covered in waist-high grass. Deputies had to search for his body.
The other three people in the car were taken to a local hospital. Officials said their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Investigators are not certain what caused the crash, but it appears speed was the biggest factor.
