Police arrest 2 teens after south Wichita robbery
A 20-year-old man was injured in a scuffle with two teenage robbers in a south Wichita neighborhood Sunday night, but police made arrests within minutes.
Wichita Police Lt. Doug Nolte said the man was walking late Sunday night in the 4800 block of East Morris when he was approached by the teens. One of the teens pulled a knife, and the other began going through the man's pockets.
A scuffle broke out. A witness reported the incident and gave police a description of the suspects. Officers arrested the two teens, ages 17 and 18, a short time later.
Nolte said the victim had some chipped teeth and bruises on his face. He was treated at the scene by EMS.
