Sedgwick County inmate escapes from Osborne County jail
A Sedgwick County jail inmate who was being housed in Osborne County escaped from the jail in Osborne in Sunday. 25-year-old Joseph Mosier was being held on burglary, attempted theft, criminal damage to property and parole violations.
The Sedgwick County sheriff's office says Mosier escaped from a fenced-in exercise yard in Osborne on Sunday, and a headcount discovered that he was missing. He is believed to have stolen a truck in the city of Osborne, and the truck was found by police in Augusta on Monday.
A 1996 dark blue Ford Thunderbird with a Butler County tag of 943CVZ was stolen a few blocks from where the truck was recovered.
Mosier is a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 150 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call the Sedgwick County sheriff's office at 1-800-874-6449, or 911, or Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.
