Driver in fatal crash charged with murder
Prosecutors have filed a charge of second-degree reckless murder against a Wichita man who was involved in a June 26, 2012 crash that killed a six-year-old girl.
The Wichita Police Department's Critical Accident Response Team believes Raudel Sandoval, 19, was traveling at twice the speed limit when his car broad-sided a Ford Focus that rolled through a stop sign in front of him. Fedora Two-Hatchet was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other people were hurt.
The crash happened at Mt. Vernon and Edgemoor. East and west traffic at that intersection has no stop sign.
Sandoval is being held on a bond of $100,000. He is schedule to appear at a preliminary hearing on Feb. 12.
