Circle School District voters approve bond issue
Voters in the Circle School District have approved a $37.12 million bond issue to build a new high school and make other improvements.
The USD 375 website said the issue will also pay for expansion and renovations at Oil Hill Elementary School and heating and cooling upgrades at the Benton Elementary Gymnasium and Towanda Intermediate Gymnasium.
The cost to build a new high school is set at $30,895,842. The Oil Hill Elementary project's price tag is $5,715,025.
District officials said the increase in homeowner's taxes means that the owner of a $100,000 home will pay an additional $6.60 per month.
