Escaped inmate back now in Sedgwick County Jail
A recaptured inmate faces additional charges after his brief flight of freedom over the weekend.
Joseph Mosier, 25, originally escaped from a fenced in exercise yard in Osborne County. He was being held on charges from Sedgwick County. Mosier turned himself in to the Elk County Sheriff's Office early Wednesday morning. Mosier was discovered missing after a head count Sunday night.
A news release from the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office said Mosier was originally held on charges of burglary, criminal damage to property, attempted theft and parole violations. He is now booked on added charges of aggravated escape and auto theft related to the Osborne County escape.
