Dedication planned for downtown Wichita cathedral
The Catholic Diocese of Wichita is planning a dedication mass for its newly-renovated Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at Central and Broadway. The 100-year-old cathedral and adjacent office building have been undergoing renovations for the past 20 months.
Diocese spokesperson Amy Pavlacka said Catholic Charities and other services will be working out of the remodeled office building.
A dedication mass is planned Saturday morning, but it will be closed to the public. The first public mass will be Saturday at 5 p.m.
