Wichita city council to consider 10-year bicycle plan
The Wichita city council will be asked Tuesday to endorse a long-range plan to improve conditions for bicycling across the community. A bicycle master plan has been in development over the past year, and senior planner Scott Wadle says it includes plans for new bike paths and bike lanes, along with educational programs and new policies relating to traffic.
The master plan also calls for a bicycle pedestrian advisory board, and the city council will be asked to create that 11-member board in a separate item on Tuesday's agenda.
