The El Dorado Police Department says the man who was shot early Monday at an El Dorado home has died in a Wichita hospital, and two people from Wichita are facing charges in the case.

Trevor Wakefield, 24,  was shot at his home in the 400 block of North Allegheny in El Dorado. Law enforcement officers later rounded up three people after a search and a chase in Cowley County.

A charge of attempted second degree murder was initially filed against 34-year-old Montee Iverson, but prosecutors say the charges may be amended as the investigation develops. Mandy Renee Crandall, 29, was charged with assisting the escape of a fugitive.

Iverson is being held on a bond of $250,000, while Crandall's bail was set at $100,000. The third person who was taken into custody was questioned and released.

Police have not released information on a motive for the shooting.
