One person killed in traffic accident near Mulvane
An SUV and a semi tractor trailer collided head on in southern Sedgwick County Friday afternoon, and the SUV driver was killed.
Sedgwick County Sheriff's Sergeant Gary Hargus said witnesses reported seeing the northbound SUV crossing the center line several times before it went completely into the northbound lane and hit a southbound semi at Broadway and 119th Street South. The SUV driver, a 42-year-old Wichita man, was dead at the scene.
The semi driver, who is from Ponca City, Okla., had minor injuries.
The crash was reported just before 4 p.m.
