Police looking for suspect in pizza store robbery
Police are looking for a man who robbed a southeast Wichita Little Caesars pizza.
The robbery happened around 10:15 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of South Webb Road.
Employees tell police the suspect came into the business through an unlocked back door. The suspect, armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, then demanded money from the business.
The suspect fled the store out the same door he entered, with an unknown amount of money.
Employees describe the suspect as an African-American man, 6-feet-2-inches tall and 175 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket, blue hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask, black sunglasses, black pants and shoes.
The suspect is still on the run, but police did collect some evidence at the scene.
Wichita Police Sgt. Bart Brunscheen said the robbery serves as a good reminder for all businesses that are open late.
"I would encourage all businesses, especially if you're open late, to lock that back door," he said.
