One dead in West Wichita crash
A man died at the scene of a crash near 13th and 135th Street West in Wichita, just yards from where a double fatal crash happened weeks ago.
A passing motorist discovered the wreckage at about 6:30 a.m. Monday, but police say the accident may have happened several hours earlier.
"One of the neighbors did report hearing a noise about midnight, looked out, but did not see anything at that time," said Wichita Police Sgt. Troy Nedbalek.
The victim, believed to be a man about the age of 20, died at the scene. His name was not released, pending notification of relatives.
A high-speed accident in roughly the same place on Dec. 27 took the lives of Devan Krausch, 22, and Marcus McClellan, 21, both of Wichita.
