Chanute police identify "persons of interest" in fire homicide
A Chanute couple have been identified as "persons of interest " in a fire and homicide case.
The body of Cristy K. Wiles was identified after a fire at 221 North Lafayette in Chanute. No details of her death have been released. Police said 26-year-old Brian Shields and 21-year-old Michelle Voorhees are wanted for questioning. Police urge the public not to approach the couple.
Shields is described as white, 5-feet-7-inches tall and 150 pounds, while Voorhees is White, 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds.
