Man in serious condition after west Wichita stabbing
A 22-year-old man is in serious condition after being stabbed over the weekend in west Wichita.
The man told officers he was walking home from a convenience store when three men attacked him near the 2400 block of West Haskell around 3 a.m. Saturday. When the attackers got into their car and left, the man went home, but he awakened later to find blood in his bed.
Wichita Police Lieutenant Doug Nolte said the man's upper chest had been punctured with some type of object, leaving part of his lung exposed. The man underwent surgery, and police have not been able to talk to him to get more information.
Nolte said it's unclear if the incident is gang-related.
