Wichita school board sets 2013-14 calendar
When this year's summer break ends, Wichita school students will head back to class on Aug. 14. They will keep an eye toward May 22, 2014 - the last day of the 2013-14 school year.
The Wichita Public Schools Board of Education approved the district calendar at its Monday meeting.
Enrollment begins July 19 and runs through Aug. 1. Orientation for sixth and ninth grade students is Aug. 13.
School will not be in session for the winter break from Dec. 20 through Jan. 3. Spring Break is March 17-21, 2014.
Teachers will have non-teaching duty days on Dec. 20 and March 14.
