NWS issues winter storm warning in Oklahoma
(AP) The National Weather Service says periods of heavy snow are possible Tuesday as a winter storm moves through the state.
A winter storm warning is in place until 8 p.m. Tuesday for Caddo, Canadian, Garfield, Jackson, Kingfisher and Kiowa counties. Forecasters say snow is expected to spread across central and western Oklahoma on Tuesday morning.
The weather service says 4 to 6 inches of snow is possible with the storm. Some isolated areas could see seven or more inches. Forecasters say the storm system will move out of the state Tuesday night.
The weather service predicts sunny weather with temperatures in the 40s on Wednesday.
