After reviewing more than 100 projects, The Kansas Department of Transportation announced selected projects for design and study.
Projects in the Wichita area call for improvements to the North Junction of I-235, I-135 and K-254 Highway, including ramps and bridges. There was no word on when construction could begin.
“Kansas businesses won’t remain competitive in the future if we don’t have a highway system that allows for efficiency and growth," said Governor Sam Brownback. "These projects will help provide the kind of infrastructure that gives our state an economic edge and protects Kansas families."
The complete list of the more than 100 preliminary engineering projects already under way is posted on KDOT’s T-WORKS website. Click here for more.
