Wichita area high school seniors get large WSU scholarship
Two Wichita area high school seniors breathed a sigh of relief as they begin college with money in their pockets.
Jabara Scholarships were awarded in a ceremony to Katie Deutsch and Everett Lacy.
Deutsch, is a senior at Wichita High School East, while Lacy, is a senior at Maize South High School.
Each will receive a total $20,000 for four years attending Wichita State University. Its named after former dean of College of Business Administration, Fran Jabara. He mentors both students.
The scholarship is one of the most prestigious at WSU and one of the largest entrepreneurship scholarships nationally.
