Northeast Wichita Dollar General robbed again

For the second time in a less than a week, a northeast Wichita Dollar General store was robbed at gunpoint.

The latest robbery happened around 10 p.m. Friday at the store in the 2000 block of East 21st Street North.

Wichita Police Sgt. Bruce Watts said a gunman entered the business and ordered the clerk and two other witnesses behind a cash register. He also demanded an employee open the store safe.

The man took some cash and left the store on foot. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described being 5-feet-8-inches tall and having a medium build. He was wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans and carrying a black revolver with a wooden handle.
