Fire damages Andover home
Firefighters from Andover and Benton worked to put out a fire that broke in the walls and floor of a home in Andover Monday morning.
The fire was reported shortly after 10 a.m. in the 2000 block of North Northridge, in a housing addition near 21st and Lakeside.
Andover Fire Marshall Mike Roosevelt said the fire broke out on the back side of the house. Sedgwick County crews were called to the scene under a mutual aid agreement, but the fire was put out quickly.
There's no word on the cause of the fire. Roosevelt said no one was hurt and the fire caused minor damage to the two-story home.
