Police make arrest in Chanute arson-murder case
A woman wanted for arson and murder in Chanute has been arrested.
Police did not release information as to where or how Michelle Voorhees was taken into custody. A $1,000 reward had been offered to the person that provided direct information that led to the arrests of two suspects.
Police said the search continues for Voorhees accomplice Brian Shields. He's still considered armed and dangerous. Police urge the public not to approach Shields. Anyone with knowledge of Shields' whereabouts is asked to call 620-431-5768.
Both are suspects in the death of Cristy Wiles of Chanute.
