Wichita fire investigators on scene of two-alarm apartment fire
It's not as bad as it could have been.
That word from Wichita Fire Lt Joe Evans after a two-alarm fire at the Cedar Lakes Village in the 8200 block of East Harry. The fire broke out around ten o' clock Monday night.
Firefighters found heavy flames when they arrived on the scene. Crews had to cut at least two holes in the roof to allow the heat and smoke to escape the building.
Damage was estimated at $110,000 to the buildings and contents. Fire investigators returned to the scene of the two-alarm fire this morning. The official cause of the fire is not yet known. No one hurt.
