Good Samaritan loses vehicle to con artists
A 27-year-old man was doing what a lot of men would do when he saw two women with their car stuck in the snow, he stopped to help.
But the Good Samaritan was apparently taken advantage of.
The man came across the women in the black Chevrolet Monte Carlo that appeared to be stuck at 23rd Street North and Arkansas at about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday. When he stepped out to help, one of the women got into his white Jeep Grand Cherokee with Oklahoma plates and drove away, knocking him to the ground.
The man only got a good look at one of the women.
"The one that jumped into his vehicle is about 5-foot-9, medium build, had shoulder-length blonde hair," said Police Lt. Doug Nolte, who said the woman also was wearing a black and orange jacket and she had orange laces in her shoes.
The woman in the Monte Carlo also drove away, leaving the man standing in the cold.
