East Wichita gas station robbed
A man pointed a black handgun at a clerk in the Phillips 66 store at 248 South Hillside in Wichita.
The robber got away in a black SUV with some cash from the register. The robbery was reported around 8:55 p.m. Wednesday. The female employee was not hurt.
Police Lt. Doug Nolte said the woman described the robber as an African-American man between the ages of 23 and 28. He is about 5-foot-7 and 170 to 190 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket with a zipper and a hood.
