Fatal car-train accident south of Wichita
A car-train accident south of Wichita killed a woman.
Sedgwick County 911Dispatcher told KFDI the woman, believed to be in her 70s, died just after the noon hour. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
The crash brought traffic to a standstill on K-15 and 47th Street South. Nearby streets were also blocked. So far, the name of the driver has not been released, pending notification of relatives.
It happened about 10:45 a.m.
