Kansas City, Missouri area man dies after head-on crash
A Kansas City, Mo. man died from injuries after a head-on crash in Kingman County.
It happened just before 4 p.m. Friday on US-54 about eight miles west of Kingman. The Kansas Highway Patrol said 31-year-old Justin Adams of Lee's Summit lost control of his eastbound 2012 Jeep Liberty on a curve, crossed over into the other lane and struck a westbound semi head-on. Adams died at a Wichita hospital.
The driver of the semi, 51-year-old Lynn Andrews of Larussell, Mo. and two passengers were not hurt. One passenger, 71-year-old James Meadows of Oronogo, Mo., was taken to a Wichita hospital for treatment.
