Clerk punched in attempted robbery
A 21-year-old man entered the Advance Auto Parts, at 8310 W. Central, and said he had a gun Saturday afternoon.
Three people were in the store at the time. The robber demanded money from the clerk, but the clerk was not able to open the register. The frustrated robber punched the clerk and ran.
Police caught the robber a few blocks away. He was arrested and booked into jail on three counts of aggravated attempted robbery.
The clerk was not seriously injured.
