Thousands without power in Kansas
The weather is blamed on scattered power outages throughout Kansas.
As of 6 a.m. today, Westar Energy was reporting more than 9,100 customers without electricity around the state. In Sedgwick County, there were 337 outages.
More than half of Greenwood County's 5,021 Westar customers were without electicity early this morning. Crews were heading that way to get the lights back on.
