Police still looking for man who robbed east Wichita doctor
Police are still looking for a robber who tied up an east Wichita doctor and robbed him late Tuesday morning. Lieutenant Doug Nolte said the 73-year-old doctor was in his office in the 2600 block of East Central around 11 a.m. when a man walked in carrying 2 knives. The man tied up the doctor and put a pillowcase over his head, and then threatened him with a knife.
Nolte said the robber took the doctor's wallet and cell phone, and he also got cash from the office. The man was described as Asian, around 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build, and he was wearing a black ski mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans.
Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area is urged to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.
