Wichita man arrested for posing as police officer on Facebook
A 28-year-old Wichita man is in trouble for posing as a police officer on Facebook.
Wichita Police Lieutenant Doug Nolte said police received a complaint from a citizen about a man who was making disparaging comments while interacting with others on Facebook. The man was claiming to be a police officer on the employment section of his Facebook page .
Investigators found that the man was not an officer, and he was arrested after he went to the south substation at Pawnee and Broadway for questioning.
Nolte said this doesn't appear to be related to other recent cases involving people who were impersonating police officers.
