Downtown Wichita bank robbed
A man robbed a downtown Wichita bank at 10:40 a.m. Friday.
It happened at the Commerce Bank, located at 456 North Main, across the street from City Hall. Police responded within four minutes of the call.
An Emergency Dispatch Supervisor said the suspect was described as white, about 5-foot-2-inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a gray snow hat, a blue, waist length coat and glasses.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, was last seen walking southbound from the bank. It is not known if the man was wearing glasses at the time of the robbery. He put money in paper bank envelope.
No gloves were seen. Emergency traffic from police indicated the man was described with "small teeth."
